SACS welcomed Boland Landbou to the suburbs on a beautiful winters morning under the mountain.
After some closely contested encounters all morning, SACS would have been very pleased with picking up 8 wins from 18 matches against one of the countries traditional rugby powerhouses.

Going into the eagerly anticipated 1st XV fixture the SACS backs were always going to be dangerous on attack, but that alone was not going to be enough to topple the physicality of the Landbou squad.
In what was an exciting back and forth clash, an unsung hero emerged in the form of a young SACS pack comprised mostly of Grade 11 learners with special mention going to the SACS front row.
To say they held their own would be an understatement, with a solid scrum, powerful carries and some silky skills displayed throughout the fixture.

Thank you to the contingent of Old Boys who attended the first home game of the season and came down to support the young SACS men!
